Background Information

Clearbuilt Technologies began as ExpoNet in 1994 by designing, developing, hosting, and maintaining custom websites for clients in the real estate and construction industries. It was typical at that time to find websites that were built just because it was the "cool thing". Clearbuilt quickly differentiated itself by following a solid development methodology that focused on defining the project goals and related all decisions and user testing back to those project goals. Clearbuilt is results oriented.

The Internet connection standard at that time was an excruciatingly slow 14.4kbps dial-up modem. A further complicating factor was the standard screen resolution was a very low 640x480. As a result, the user interface for websites had to be very carefully planned and scrutinized. This invaluable experience still drives Clearbuilt's designs today and the result is websites that get used. Clearbuilt is focused on providing the best possible user experience.

Technology Strike Team

Clearbuilt Technologies has been providing corporate America with customized Internet and interactive technology solutions for some of its most complex business challenges since 1994. Grounded with a clear results-oriented method of operations, Clearbuilt is your Technology Strike Team.

Services

Consulting Services

Based on the web development experience that Clearbuilt amassed, Clearbuilt started performing technology consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. When performing consulting duties, the typical result is a strategic plan, a performance specification, or a program that Clearbuilt leads and monitors for progress. At Clearbuilt , we believe our job is more about the proper usage of technology than it is about pushing a particular platform, application or user interface to technology. In other words, it's more about people than technology. When you recognize that the best technology is transparent, the people are all that is left to consider. All Clearbuilt team members are technology minimalists.

Development Services

As the web technologies began to mature, Clearbuilt branched out to include the development and integration of handheld applications with custom website applications. This inevitably led to more systems integration work where Clearbuilt would integrate new custom applications with already existing clients applications that were previously purchased or developed in-house. As a result, Clearbuilt formalized their methodology in recognition of the empirically derived theory that integration issues must be discovered and resolved very early in the process. Clearbuilt ensures success with their proprietary methodology -- Information Technology - Design Build (IT-DB).

Education Services

As Clearbuilt's reputation in the real estate and construction industries continued to grow, the principals at Clearbuilt were invited to speak at many industry conferences and corporate off-sites. Clearbuilt is able to offer a long range vision of the future that is backed up with solid, actionable advice of what you should be doing today to prepare for the future. Clearbuilt principals are industry leaders.

Leadership

Clearbuilt's leadership team solves real problems for clients with real world expertise. The firm's principals have proven experience in architecture, construction, real estate and technology that will serve its clients well.

Neal Berry

A true Internet pioneer, Neal Berry has been involved with Internet technologies since 1986. After earning a masters of science in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Neal co-founded ExpoNet, Inc. in 1994. ExpoNet is now known as Clearbuilt Technologies.

The typical comment after meeting and getting to know Neal is how deep his knowledge of technology runs and yet, unlike most people entrenched in the technology field, he is still able to communicate with people at all levels of understanding. Neal has the ability to discuss and interpret complicated technology options with clients that need to make informed and intelligent business decisions without having to become technology experts themselves.

Neal is an accomplished public speaker on technology topics. He engages his audience with the rare ability to educate in an entertaining manner. Neal has been an invited speaker at various corporate functions and industry conferences such the ones organized by the International Door Association (IDA), Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and A/E/C Systems.

In addition to public speaking, Neal enjoys writing articles on pertinent technology topics. Read some of his work at ClearPoint.Clearbuilt.com, his newsletter blog. Also, here is a recent article he was asked to write for the Professional Door Dealer Magazine.

Neal is an expert at setting up website user interfaces (basically the look and method of navigating a website) using industry standard methods that allow for proper viewing in all of the major browsers and operating systems. He is also a certified search engine marketer which means he has the knowledge and experience to guide you through the difficult process of getting your website higher in the search engines.

Mike Weisenborn

Mike Weisenborn is one of the premier programming and custom web technology experts in the Internet industry. Having worked with NASA from 1988 to 1995, Mike was heavily involved in NASA's progressive use of web technology as a means of information distribution starting at the inception of the web in 1993. Mike is a co-founder of ExpoNet, Inc., now known as Clearbuilt Technologies, and has his masters of science in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of Atlanta Linux and Perl user groups.

Mike leads application development at Clearbuilt Technologies and is responsible for keeping the firm's technologists informed of and capable in existing and emerging technologies. Although very interested in new technologies, Mike is acutely aware of his responsibility to deliver working, maintainable systems. Mike does a masterful job at employing long-standing, mature technologies to speed development, provide flexibility, and improve long-term maintainability.

Clearbuilt hosts and maintains most of the technology solutions they provide. Since the year 2000, Clearbuilt has been fully operational with no unscheduled down-time for any of their clients. This is due to Mike's careful planning in the original design of Clearbuilt's network operations and unmatched attention to detail with the constant upgrades being performed.

After working with Mike you will quickly come to the same realization that most do about just how good he is with technology and smart he is in general. It is a true pleasure working with somebody like Mike who has the ability to quickly analyze new and existing technologies and apply them where appropriate with incredible success.
